Jeremy Salisbury Is a Winner at the A&B Cymru Awards!

We are delighted to announce that one of our directors, Jeremy Salisbury, was shortlisted for a prestigious Arts and Business Cymru Award in April, and we’re even happier to announce that Jeremy fought off stiff competition to end up winning the award in a glitzy ceremony at Cardiff Millennium Centre on Friday, the 23 rd of June 2017.

His support and generosity with his time and enthusiasm has enabled a well-appreciated local charity to rise from strength to strength, and the judges within the Arts and Business Cymru organisation unanimously agreed that Jeremy’s commitment to the Mostyn Gallery was worthy of the Grant Stephens Family Law Advisor Award.

Jeremy has dedicated 200 hours of his time and professional skills in the last 12 months to assist the Mostyn Gallery in Llandudno, which was refurbished and expanded in 2010, create a financial road map and provide practical guidance for Mostyn to harness and use in an effective manner – contributing to transforming this charity into a resilient organisation as it supports community work in North Wales and throughout Wales.

Jeremy’s efforts did not end there, in late 2016, he increased his commitment to Mostyn and became Chair of the Trustees – continuing his tireless work of investing his own time to help the Gallery succeed. He also recruited and trained a finance officer for Mostyn Gallery and helped the charity provide multiple programmes to the community – including learning programmes intended to help children, young people, families, adults, community groups and students of all ages and levels develop their knowledge and understanding of contemporary art.

Jeremy had this to say about being awarded:

“I have really enjoyed the challenge of my role in Mostyn, and to be elected as Chair of the gallery, last year, was a real honour.  It is a wonderful place, full of creativity, and to see how the organisation functions on so many levels is a real eye-opener!  To be nominated for, and then to win the award, is a great fillip for both me and the Gallery.”

All at Salisburys Chartered Accountants St Asaph are very, very proud of Jeremy’s achievements being recognised by Arts and Business Cymru. Congratulations, Jeremy!
