Salisburys are Proud sponsors of the VCCFL!

We are delighted to inform you that we are now the proud sponsors of the Vale Of Clwyd and Conwy Football League!

We have previously sponsored the League’s President’s Cup but upon negotiations with this organization’s executive committee, we have the honour of sponsoring the entire league, which has been a proud staple of North Walian football since 1973!

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League is very relevant to Welsh football, especially within North Wales. Its boundaries stretch all of the way through North Wales, eastward along the coastline, as far as the English border at Chester – covering Flintshire in its entirety, parts of Denbighshire, and some areas within Conwy.

The League itself came into formation when two local area leagues, the Dyserth and Halkyn Mountain Leagues, formed. Originally consisting of a whopping five divisions, the formation of the Cymru Alliance league (later becoming the League of Wales, and then changing name again to the Welsh Premier League we know today) meant that the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League shrunk to a far more manageable three divisions.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League is formed of two tables, the first being the Premier Division, which has teams such as Llandudno Albion, Llannefydd, Llansannan, Machno United, Old Colwyn, Rhos United, Rhyl Athletic, Rhyl Rovers, Rhyl Town AFC, and Trefnant FC.

Division One features Abergele FC, Betws-y-Coed, Bro Cernyw, Cerrigydrudion, Llandudno Athletic, Llanfairfechan Town, Llysfaen, Y Glannau, the Rhos United Reserves, as well as the Colwyn Bay Youths.

These teams all have their eyes firmly set on three cups the league awards: The Premier Cup, Presidents Cup, and the REM Jones Cup are all up for grabs.  We’re thrilled to sponsor the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League, and wish all of their teams the very best for their upcoming events and fixtures!
