About the role

The postholder will be supporting the day-to-day activities of the Administration Team and will proactively manage a high number of tasks which will involve a great deal of multitasking. You will support the wider team, ensuring the day-to-day operation is running smoothly whilst delivering excellent customer service. An excellent telephone manner and ability to work well with others is essential along with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.

Main duties:

  • Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries
  • Sending outgoing documentation via email and post
  • Filing & photocopying
  • Scanning & Uploading
  • Dealing with the Daily Post
  • Have basic computer skills – we will teach you what is needed on our database
  • Taking and passing on messages to other team members
  • General office admin tasks
  • Supporting our Accountancy & Payroll team’s
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested by Line Management

Person Specification

You will ideally have 5 or more at GCSE including Maths & English. Attention to detail is extremely important so you should be able to demonstrate in the interview that you have these skills. You will be a point of contact for our client base so excellent spoken and written communication is vital to help maintain the excellent Salisbury’s brand. Full training will be provided; however, it is essential that the successful candidate has the ability to learn and use new skills at a reasonable pace as well as the desire to succeed. The post is full time and permanent.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. The starting salary for this role will be appropriate to age and previous experience, which will be reviewed annually in line with age and job performance.
