Career Opportunity: Payroll Co-Ordinator

Hours: 24 hours per week- Monday to Friday (Days to be agreed to include Mondays and Tuesdays each week)

Location: St. Asaph

Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience

About the role

The key aspect of this role will be to ensure that client payrolls are completed accurately and on time, providing a strong supportive role to the Payroll Team in relation to the processing of payroll data across a client base covering pay frequencies of weekly, 4-weekly, monthly, and fortnightly

  • Accurate processing of payrolls as per client requirements
  • Administer accurate records for new starters and leavers
  • Dealing with all statutory calculations
  • Reporting of HMRC RTI Submissions
  • Calculation of wages and deductions as per client requirements
  • Respond and resolve client queries relating to payroll
  • Regular usage of payroll systems and data input
  • General Administration tasks

Person Specification

The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the Payroll Co-ordinator include:

  • One year’s experience working in a payroll environment is desirable
  • General knowledge of legislation relating to payroll
  • Ability to work to set deadlines
  • Understanding of payroll process and procedures
  • Understanding of the CIS Process is desirable
  • Basic understanding of Sage payroll software
  • Ability to work as part of an established team
  • Payroll year end knowledge is desirable
