Hours: 37 ½ hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5 pm,  Friday 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.

About the role

You will join a payroll team of 6 responsible for processing payrolls for around 500 clients with sizes ranging from two or three staff to several hundred employees. We work collaboratively, pride ourselves on the first-class service we provide to our clients, and ensure our departmental goals are achieved. This approach fosters a positive work environment where everyone feels supported and valued., You will receive on the job training and mentoring whilst supporting your colleagues in processing a range of weekly, four weekly and monthly payrolls and providing a first-class service to our clients.

Main duties:

  • Assisting with the processing of weekly, monthly and four weekly payrolls
  • Dealing with payroll clients queries
  • Learning about numerous aspects of employment legislation
  • Dealing with pension-auto-enrolment obligations

Person Specification

You will ideally have 5 or more at GCSE including Maths & English. Attention to detail is extremely important so you should be able to demonstrate in the interview that you have these skills. You will be a point of contact for our client base so excellent spoken and written communication is vital to help maintain the excellent Salisbury’s brand. Full training will be provided; however, it is essential that the successful candidate has the ability to learn and use new skills at a reasonable pace as well as the desire to succeed. The post is full time and permanent.

The starting salary for this role will be appropriate to age and previous experience, which will be reviewed annually in line with age and job performance.
